MICRO CHURCH

 This last season wrestling with COVID has presented all of us with numerous challenges. Instead of focusing on the challenges it’s time we started focusing on the WHAT IF’s….

WHAT IF it has also presented us with an opportunity?

WHAT IF I told you that during a season when the Church is having to make hard decisions on who can attend and who can’t that there was a third way that could include everyone?

WHAT IF we organized ourselves in such a way that we focused on what matters most; worship, community and mission?

WHAT IF you had an opportunity to connect with people on a level that is deeper than any before? 

WHAT IF you weren’t confined to being in a church building on Sunday morning at 10:30 but had the freedom to have church at a time that worked for you?

We at Embertide think that the time is right for us to step into something new. Something we’re calling Micro – Church. 

What is Micro – Church? Read through Acts chapter 2 and you’ll see a small group of people gathered and focused around Worship, Community and Mission. That they live out their faith together. During this Covid season, we’re going to experiment around gathering in smaller groups, of up to 10 – 12, in peoples homes (within the same steady 20). We’ll still be listening to some teaching, discussing the scriptures, praying together and celebrating communion. Just in small (micro) churches. 

We believe that God is doing a new work in this season and we’re trusting that this won’t be a time that we have to endure until we can get back on track with our faith but a time when we truly thrive in and grow in our faith TOGETHER!
